Local Giving on a Global Level
Together with AWMH, the band officially began the #MetallicaGivesBack campaign, donating a portion of every ticket sold throughout the WorldWired Tour to a local food bank.
This practice has extended through and expanded during the M72 World Tour, now including volunteer opportunities for fans to donate their time to local food banks around Metallica tour stops. We've affectionately dubbed this spin-off our #MetallicaFamilyGivesBack campaign.

Domestically, we rely on our partnership with Feeding America, the largest charity working to end hunger in the United States, to select our recipients. Feeding America works with food banks, food pantries, and local food programs to bring food to people facing hunger and advocates for policies that create long-term solutions to hunger. We know that collaborating with Feeding America means every dollar we donate will be used to its maximum efficiency.
Internationally, we work with World Central Kitchen and local promoters to ensure that we are directing our efforts and funds where they are most needed in each community while staying within our mission.
The band, the Foundation, and the fans collectively feel that it is our responsibility and our honor to make a positive impact in the communities we visit and to help those suffering from hunger.
